HUMBLE YOURSELF.
HUMBLE YOURSELF! ITS GOD WHO HAS HIGHLY FAVOURED YOU!!
Luke 1:28 And the angel came in unto her, and said, Hail, THOU THAT ART HIGHLY FAVOURED, the Lord is with thee: blessed art thou among women.
The Angel made Mary understand that it wasn't because of her virginity or her beauty nor any other thing that she has been chosen to be the carrier of the son of God but by the favour of God. Not just favour but a high form of favour. Mary can't be the only Virgin in her city thus for her to be selected for such a divine assignment is by a HIGH FAVOUR. Mary herself acknowledged that she doesn't qualify for what she has been called to do. She has been qualified and that is a privilege and a blessing.
Luke 1:48 For he hath regarded THE LOW ESTATE OF HIS HANDMAIDEN: for, behold, from henceforth all generations shall call me blessed.
How many of us know that it is just by a high form of favour that we are privileged to do what ever it is that we do for God in and outside the house of God?
Never have any sense of entitlement to anything and feel bossy over anything. If you have anything to boast of, boast of things like the mercies, the grace of God and the word of God and God himself. Those are sure and constant in our lives.
Psalms 119:89 For ever, O LORD, thy word is settled in heaven.
Lamentations 3:22 It is of the LORD's mercies that we are not consumed, because his compassions fail not.
3:23 They are new every morning: great is thy faithfulness.
Psalm 103:17 But the mercy of the LORD is from everlasting to everlasting upon them that fear him, and his righteousness unto children's children;
Every other thing is subject to change and replacement. I know the gifts OF God is without repentance. But I also know Saul was king and yet God anointed David king. I pray God doesn't anoint some one else to do what you do when only one person must do that. Because that only means you have been terminated. Your gift hasn't been taken from you, but you the carrier of the gift have been terminated! It's just a matter of time and you will fade away. Everything you do for God, he enables you to. It is never by your own ability. Zachariah was wise to acknowledge that to Zerubbabel.
Zechariah 4:6 Then he answered and spake unto me, saying, This is the word of the LORD unto Zerubbabel, saying, Not by might, nor by power, but by my spirit, saith the LORD of hosts.
It is only by his spirit. It is only by his anointing. So know that, as much as he gave it to you to do what ever it is that you do that you are claiming kingship over, he can as much give to another person. Even the smallest thing you do for God, he enables you to. Always acknowledge that and stay humble. Even to test mike before service begins, is by him. You know what I mean? "Testing mike try one two". That thing, even that, is by him. When God created man, he was alright inside out. Good kidney, good heart, good liver, good everything and yet he was lifeless until Elohim breathe on him the breath of life. So never think you can do what you do for God because you are in good shape. Please, even to breath is by God ok. Without him, no organ of yours is worth being on you. They are all useless without the breath of God. humble yourself. At one point the priest Zacharias, father of John the Baptist, was an active priest ministering before the Lord and and soon he was dumb at the command of an angel. And at God's own time he opened his mouth again. Are you getting it? To open your mouth to talk kraa God permits it. If you know these things, that as small as they are, it is still God who gives you the enablement to do it, you will then easily acknowledge that the greater ones, so to speak, like preaching, teaching, healing the sick, giving, praying, working etc is all by him. He enables you. And that will humble you and keep you elevated more the more. Don't be carried away by the appellation and praises of men so much that you soon become conscious of self than of God. beloved, you can be reduced to nothing at anytime.
James 4:14 Whereas ye know not what shall be on the morrow. For what is your life? It is even a vapour, that appeareth for a little time, and then vanisheth away.
Psalms 103:15 As for man, his days are as grass: as a flower of the field, so he flourisheth.
103:16 For the wind passeth over it, and it is gone; and the place thereof shall know it no more.
be humble.
